Lawrence J. Farber, head of the Law Office of Lawrence J. Farber in Amherst, has been practicing law for 27 years. He concentrates his practice on landlord-tenant law, discrimination, and wrongful discharge from employment, personal injury, and general civil litigation.
Mr. Farber was the chair of the Western Division Housing Court Bench-Bar committee from 2003 to April 2008, and was recently appointed the co-chair of the statewide Housing Court Bench-Bar Committee.
He is a past member of the MBA subcommittee on the landlord-tenant Law, and a past president of the Hampshire County Bar Association. He served a three-year appointment on the Board of Delegates to the MBA.
He is presently the Secretary of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation. He has chaired or conducted numerous continuing legal education panels on landlord-tenant law, both residential and commercial law. Mr. Faber received his B.A. from State University of New York at Buffalo and his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law.
